The AI Screenshot Tool for Windows.

Stash is a clipboard manager, screenshot tool, and screen recorder that performs radically better by giving Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT real context to read your captures, not just the pixels. Every screenshot carries embedded context. Every recording is paired with a structured report. A local MCP server lets your AI query your captures by name or ID.

STEP 1 Download and install

Run Stash-win-Setup.exe. No admin rights needed. Stash lives in the system tray and keeps itself up to date automatically. Press Ctrl + Shift + V to open your history, Ctrl + Shift + S for a region screenshot.

STEP 2 Sign in

Open Settings and sign in with Google or GitHub. It is the same account as the Mac app, so your subscription and shared videos follow you. Recordings share as yourstash.ai/v links.

STEP 3 Connect to Claude Desktop

In Settings, click Connect to Claude Desktop. Stash registers its local MCP server so Claude can read your captures by name or ID, then restart Claude Desktop. The server runs entirely on your machine.
